Reach-Out Ministry
At St Joseph's Parish, we have the following Reach-Out Ministries....
Communion to the
Sick and Housebound
A team of dedicated parishioners in our church community regularly visit people who live at home, or in one of the rest homes in our Levin area, to deliver:
- Holy Communion
- Prayers
- Conversation
- Family Liaison
If you would like to be involved, or know someone who would benefit from our services, contact our parish coordinator Brian Nolan or email our parish office at office.stjosephlevin@gmail.com
Visitation Mininistry
Part of our reach-out ministry is our visitation ministry where our parishioners will visit those who are sick, lonely or housebound and offer them some company, prayer, or just a simple conversation.
If you would like to be involved, or know someone who would benefit from our services, contact our parish coordinator Brian Nolan or email our parish office at office.stjosephlevin@gmail.com
Transport Ministry
Our transportation ministry is available for all those in our parish community who have no way of transporting themselves to Mass.
We have a group of drivers who volunteer their time to give these parishioners a lift. Sometimes, it is not only a lift to and from Church but it could be a ride to the shops or an appointment.
Please reach out to Brian Nolan or email the parish office if you are interested in helping with our transportation ministry. Additionally, if you know someone who may need a ride to weekend Masses, please contact us.
Shopping Ministry
Some of our parishioners are not able to get to the shops to buy basic necessities. This could be due to illness, lack of transportation, or inability to get out and about. We have a group of parishioners who kindly pick up groceries for these people or transport them to and from the supermarket so they are able to complete their shopping.
If you are interested in helping volunteer your time and efforts in this ministry, please reach out to Brian Nolan or email the parish office.
