Music Ministry
Our Parish's Music Ministry works to ensure that all Masses and liturgies are covered musically, by building relationships with musicians throughout the Parish community. We aim to include musical settings and hymns that reflect the diversity of our Parish.
We aim to achieve this by:
- Encouraging congregational liturgical in prayer through song
- Emphasizing themes of liturgy by choosing appropriate music
- Leading the singing and encouraging congregational participation
- Increasing the musical repertoire
- Participating in ecumenical celebrations (e.g. Christmas)
We have a number of different groups involved in the music ministry.
These include:
- The Tongan Choir (led by Makisi Finau)
- The Samoan Choir (led by Salamo So'oalo and Rasella Fuauli)
- The Kiribati Choir (led by Kinoia)
- The Youth Music Group (led by Molly Fuauli and Richard Finau)
- The Maori Miha Music Group (led by Forrest Chamber)
- The Filipino Choir (led by Gladys Fermo)
- The LoJ Group (led by Orlando)
We welcome interest in the music ministry. Please contact the parish office for more information.
